Tori Ladner

Tori Ladner brings a wide variety of talents and experience to the Children’s Minister and Communications Director position.

She received her degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University (Normal, IL) in 2005 and then taught Kindergarten and Fifth Grade in Costa Rica at a school for Missionary Kids. Following her return to the States, Tori completed her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling and School Counseling from Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, IL), where she met her now husband, Bobby.

As a multiple sport athlete herself, she has a wide variety of competitive experience all the way through being a college track & field athlete. During her schooling, teaching, and now as a parent, she went on to coach multiple sports at numerous levels; everything from Track & Field at the college, high school, and grade-school levels, Basketball, Cheerleading, and Volleyball at the grade-school and high-school levels, and most recently, her daughter’s 1st & 2nd Grade basketball team.

Besides teaching on the mission field, her church and ministry involvement has included being a Sunday School teacher in Virginia and Texas, summer youth group leader in Illinois, VBS teacher/leader, Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle leader and intern, short term mission trip leader/coordinator to Costa Rica, and she helped to start a Pregnancy Center from the ground up (helping to lead as Vice President of the board).

Tori enjoys creating, building, crafting, and designing. Through this passion, she has done freelance work for Jarvis Christian College and others in multiple mediums. She recently published her first children’s book called “Some Mommies”.

Other work and leadership experiences include: detasseling worker and contractor for over 20 years, and organizing a fundraising banquet for the Pregnancy Center she helped to start.

Her greatest accomplishments, however, call her wife and mother. She and her husband Bobby got married in 2010 and have two wonderful children whom she home-schools; Brylee and Maxton.
