Organizational Changes to Affect Sixth    Graders

Changes to HBBC's educational organizations will affect sixth graders beginning September 13.  Rather than moving into the youth division in Sunday School, sixth graders will remain the in the children's division.  Children's classes will be provided for grades 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6, as recommended by our denomination.  Debbie Havens will assume the role of Children's Division Coordinator and, with the help of David Martin, will lead the division to plan special outreach, fellowship and ministry events, giving special attention to older children.

On Wednesday nights the AWANA organization will be staffed to provide the inclusion of sixth grade children.  Similarly, our children's choir on Sunday evening will  give special consideration to the needs and abilities of sixth graders as they program for the Fall.

The restructuring of sixth grade involvement at Holly Brook is based on considerations of how to provide a more age-appropriate ministry for these children as well as their impact on activity and space issures for the Youth Division.
